At Ennadai we are woodworkers with a passion for creating beautiful products.

It’s no accident that we’re crafting world class saunas.

We Are Changing Things Up

“90% of saunas in North America are bad. The other 10% are worse.”

– Board Members, Finnish Sauna Society

Why our sauna is the best

The quality of our saunas starts with raw materials.

We exclusively use Western Red Cedar for all of our sauna builds because of its durability to the outdoors. Western Red Cedar contains high volumes of natural preservatives making it the perfect wood to stand up to the elements, insects and rot. Western Red Cedar boasts one of the best insulation values for a softwood meaning that the inside stays hot while the outside stays cool.

We hand select each 4x6 timber before we begin processing to provide the best product. We choose to work with 4x6 western red cedar for several reasons, one being that it is sturdy. A typical home is made of 2x4s and you count on that to shelter you for years to come, imagine how sound our saunas are.

Better yet, don’t imagine, try one.

Cold feet?

Not in an Ennadai Sauna.

The temperature gradient in a sauna varies greatly from ceiling to floor, occasionally upwards of 40°C. The main cause? Heat source placement relative to the user’s feet. When the heat source is above the user’s feet, the air around the foot area fails to heat up, leaving the feet feeling cold.

Our sauna’s heat source is below the foot area, heating the air and allowing the feet to warm. There is a 10°C to 20°C range of heat between head and toe in our sauna, eliminating the chances of cold feet.

Curved walls are not comfortable

When was the last time you sat back on a curved wall with a sigh of comfort?

We couldn’t remember either.

Our walls are straight up and down, allowing you to sit, slouch or lay down with comfort.

Cozier than your Daddy’s Caddy

Yes, we went there and stand by it. Sure you can fit four people in the back of a Cadillac, but who wants to? When we rate our sauna capacity to four people, we mean that you’ll be able to fit four with comfort.

Built by one,

for all

Who says building alone can’t be fun?

We designed our sauna to be able to be built by one, by the DIYers, by moms and sons, dads and daughters.

No tools of your own? No problem, we’ll send all the required tools with your order.

Spare the Air

Air quality is integral to the sauna experience. You breathe it and bathe in it. We have focused on three components to keeping you and your sauna clean.

Vestibule - Nothing gets you out of the sauna mentality like a burst of cold air. The vestibule will ensure that cold air stays out and the heat stays in.

Ventilation - Share the space, not the air. Human CO2 outputs are elevated while using a sauna due to increased respiratory rates, without proper ventilation sauna users will become dizzy from breathing too much CO2.

Volume - A common issue with North American saunas is the lack of area per person, at minimum there should be 70 cubic feet per person, plus 35 cubic feet for the heater. We make the mark at 72 cubic feet per person, plus the 35 cubic feet for the heater.
